Our efforts in creating a supportive and inclusive workplace in India have earned us some key recognitions:
Responsible for dimensional control and maturation of Body-in-White (BIW) and
stamping components.
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of part dimensions throughout the production
process.
Work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to address any dimensional
issues during the maturation phase.
Perform and review dimensional checks, measurements, and verification processes.
Identify and resolve issues related to part fitment, tolerances, and alignment during
production.
Report and track progress, challenges, and improvements in dimensional quality.
Manage and oversee the maturation process for BIW & General Assembly (GA) components.
Ensure all assembly dimensions are met per design specifications.
Collaborate with the design, engineering, and assembly teams to troubleshoot and
resolve dimensional issues.
Conduct regular quality checks and audits on assembled components to ensure proper
fit and alignment.
Track and report the maturation status of the BIW & GA components.
Address any issues arising from the BIW & GA assembly processes that could affect part functionality or fitment
Key Accountabilities -
- Perform a physical review of checking fixtures and provide feedback to ensure the fixtures are aligned with the dimensional requirements.
- Participate in the dimensional checking of change content parts (Fender, Front Door, Rear Door, and Tailgate Assembly) in the checking fixtures.
- Analyze the part checking reports and provide feedback, ensuring any dimensional discrepancies are addressed promptly
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., design, production, quality teams) to find and implement resolutions to any dimensional issues encountered during the maturation process.
- Provide feedback and suggestions related to the process, particularly for closures like welding and hemming assemblies during slow build phases
-Review inspection reports for closure assemblies (welding & hemming) and formulate action plans to address any issues identified
- Support the team in the implementation of the action plans to
address any dimensional concerns.
- Verify the effectiveness of implemented actions in improving dimensional quality, specifically during checking fixture (CF) evaluations
- Participate in the part-to-part and part-to-master analysis using the E-Cube system, and analyze the E-Cube part checking reports.
- Provide feedback to stakeholders based on the results of E-Cube checks.
- Suggest and participate in change content part coordinate builds on the vehicle.
-Review and analyze the results of these coordinate builds, and develop action plans based on the findings.
-Verify the effectiveness of the implemented actions at the Checking Fixture (CF), E-Cube, and vehicle levels to ensure
dimensional issues are resolved
