The Performance Test Lead is responsible for defining and executing performance testing strategies to ensure the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of applications. This role involves working closely with development, QA, and operations teams to design performance test plans, analyze test results, and provide recommendations for performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in performance testing, with at least 2+ years in a lead role.
  • Hands-on experience in scripting, execution, and analysis using tools like Loadrunner & Jmeter.
  • Strong expertise in performance tuning and root cause analysis.

• Performance Testing Strategy & Planning:

  • Define performance testing strategies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive performance test plans, including workload modeling, test scenarios, and success criteria.
  • Identify performance test objectives, SLAs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Test Execution & Analysis:

  • Execute load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability tests using performance testing tools.
  • Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with development teams to optimize system performance.
  • Monitor system behavior using APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools and infrastructure logs.

• Tool Selection & Scripting:

  • Select appropriate performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad, BlazeMeter, etc.
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts, ensuring reusability and scalability.

• Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to identify performance risks early.
  • Provide detailed performance reports, including findings, recommendations, and mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in defect triaging and provide insights on performance-related issues.

• Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

  • Assist in capacity planning, infrastructure tuning, and optimization.
  • Advocate for performance testing best practices within Agile/DevOps environments.
  • Ensure performance testing is integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience:

• Technical Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance testing into DevOps workflows.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Groovy for automation.
