Overview

This role requires a seasoned relationship manager with a passion for data governance and stewardship, as well as a strong understanding of financial and investor data, coupled with the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder engagement.

In this pivotal role, you will serve as the bridge between our business stakeholders and the organization's Enterprise Data Governance operations frameworks and teams. You will leverage your extensive stakeholder engagement experience to foster trust and collaboration, while simultaneously ensuring the quality, security, and compliance of Enterprise data.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your expertise in relationship management with your knowledge of data stewardship. You will play a key role in communicating and ensuring data governance policies, directly impacting the quality and reliability of our financial and investor data. You will be responsible for proactively addressing data-related concerns, educating clients on best practices, and driving continuous improvement in our data management processes.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in both relationship management and data stewardship within a financial services environment. You will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of data privacy regulations, and the ability to influence and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Focus relationship manager on building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Manage data throughout its lifecycle, from creation to disposal.
  • Act as a bridge between IT and business users, ensuring data meets business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Leverage data steward experience for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and appropriate use of an organization's data.
  • Act as a central point of contact, understand stakeholder needs, and ensure business satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary communication contact, problem-solving, and providing personalized service.
  • Ensure that stakeholder data is handled according to data governance policies and regulations.
  • Oversee and communicate data assets, quality, security, access, and other critical data governance elements.
  • The person in this role would bridge the gap between clients and the data governance policies of the organization.
  • Lead cross-functionally with data management, data analytics, legal, compliance & regulatory and third-party vendors.
  • Manage Data Assessment (discovery, source Identification, data quality Issue and remediation), cataloging and delivery for program & customer domain data.
  • Ensure data accuracy and adherence to defined global governance practices, as well as driving acceptance of enterprise data standards and policies across the various business segments.
  • Maintain and advise relevant stakeholders on data governance-related.
  • Advise on various projects and initiatives to ensure that any data related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated and managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Governance established standards.
  • Represent market specific needs in Sector/Region data councils and above, ensuring locals user needs are heard/met/addressed; Voice opinions around why proposals will or will not work for the market you represent and provide alternative solutions
  • Accountable for ensuring that data-centric activities are aligned with Enterprise Data Governance & Enterprise Data Advance Analytics ways of working and leverage applicable data standards, governance processes, and overall best practices.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience working in financial management, and data governance or data management. Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use / consumption, data quality, and stewardship
  • Knowledge of data governance tools (Collibra, OvalEdge, or Informatica Suite preferred).
  • Experience working within a global restaurant, CPG, supply chain, or manufacturing company preferred
  • Ability to partner with both business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented.
  • Proficient in data quality management and communicating business rules.
  • Ability persuading and influencing others at all organizational levels, fostering lasting partnerships.
  • Ability to convert business requirements into critical data needs.
  • Capable of envisioning optimized designs beyond current processes, roles, and tools.
  • Skilled at encouraging teams to think beyond current practices.
  • Self-starter who thrives in evolving environments and brings structure to unstructured situations.
  • Able to mediate difficult decisions and drive consensus diplomatically.
  • Strong matrix management skills and business acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience with Agile methodology and JIRA
  • Masters degree preferred
