Sealing - Engineer

A Sealing Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of sealing systems used in various industrial applications. This role requires expertise in sealing materials, methods, and techniques to ensure the effective prevention of leaks, contamination, or loss of pressure in systems such as pumps, valves, machinery, or pipelines.

The Sealing Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality control, to deliver

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development:

   • Design and develop new glass products and solutions for various applications (e.g., architectural glass, automotive glass, consumer goods, etc.).

   • Work closely with design, R&D, and manufacturing teams to create functional and cost-effective glass solutions.

   • Conduct feasibility studies, material selection, and testing to ensure product durability, safety, and functionality.

2. Manufacturing Process Design & Optimization:

   • Design and optimize glass manufacturing processes, including melting, molding, shaping, and coating.

   • Work on automation of processes and integration of advanced technology to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.

   • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to glass production, such as defects or production delays.

3. Quality Control & Testing:

   • Perform mechanical, thermal, and chemical testing on glass products to meet industry standards and customer specifications.

   • Develop and implement testing protocols to monitor and improve product quality.

   • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in manufacturing processes.

4. Research & Innovation:

   • Keep up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and research in glass materials, processing techniques, and applications.

   • Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation, leading efforts in the development of cutting-edge glass products and sustainable manufacturing practices.

5. Collaboration & Communication:

   • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and manufacturers to ensure smooth product development and production processes.

   • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams to address engineering challenges.

   • Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to management and clients.

6. Sustainability & Environmental Impact:

   • Research and develop environmentally friendly glass production processes and recyclable glass products.

   • Contribute to sustainability initiatives and work towards reducing the environmental impact of glass production.

Skills & Competencies:

• • Experience with specialized glass types (e.g., tempered glass, laminated glass, photovoltaic glass).

  • Knowledge of glass coating and finishing techniques.

  • Experience in sustainability and environmental impact reduction in manufacturing processes.

  • Familiarity with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
