Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products. 
  • Develop and manage production schedules and timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of products. 
  • Manage resources (materials, labor, equipment) to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste. 
  • Lead the Hardware Engineering in the Project which will be responsible to ensure the HW product meets its quality Intent during development by performing data analysis using appropriate statistical tools and techniques to identify trends, develop technical investigation plans, and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and processes when necessary.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, participate in investigations, analyze root causes, plan and implement corrective actions, while interfacing with cross functional departments to increase product quality.
  • Partner with hardware electrical and mechanical engineering, HW test engineering and program management to design effective BOM structures, develop efficient supply chain strategies, and provide feedback on manufacturing test processes during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase of a product’s life cycle.
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing and conducts the evaluation and disposition of nonconforming product and process related issues using a risk-based approach to resolve problems with partially finished and finished product (resolve problems impacting production fulfillment).
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements.
  • Provide quarterly feedback and semi-annually audit key suppliers of contract manufacturing services.
  • Define, compile, and track engineering quality metrics (e.g. DV/PV failure tracking, etc.) to ensure process compliance and successful project execution.
  • Manages Incident Tracking and facilitate structure problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BE/BTECH/MTECH), preferably in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Aerospace.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and/or aerospace composites is required.

Essential skills

  • Minimum 8+ as Product Developer/Manufacturing (Preferably in Embedded Electronics) or related experience supporting the development and production of electro-mechanical assemblies at contract manufacturers or as a customer of contract manufactures.
  • Experience with HW development Process and activities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication
  • Experience in creating D-FMEAs/P-FMEAs, Control Plan and Work Instruction.
  • Experience in Agile development.
  • Competency in Advanced Product Quality Planning & Control Plan (APQP), Product Part Approval Process (PPAP), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including lean manufacturing techniques, to optimize production efficiency.
