Responsibilities

  • Understand insurance business workflows (e.g., policy issuance, claims processing, underwriting) to develop relevant test scenarios and cases.
  • Execute manual testing for insurance applications, ensuring functionality, accuracy, and usability.
  • Participate in requirement analysis and identify areas for testing and validation.
  • Report and track defects using standard defect management tools.
  • Document test cases, test results, and defects clearly and accurately.
  • Perform different types of testing such as functional, regression, system integration, and UAT support.
  • Apply basic software testing principles (e.g., test design techniques, bug life cycle, SDLC/STLC).
  • Continuously learn domain-specific knowledge and testing tools to improve test quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system integration testing activities.
  • Upskill on automaton tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, Playwright etc.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Specialized diploma / degree in Insurance

Desired skills

  • Basic understanding of insurance concepts (e.g., policy lifecycle, claims, underwriting).
  • Familiarity with software testing fundamentals and SDLC/STLC processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Familiarity with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and industry tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of insurance platforms or software (Guidewire, etc.) is a bonus but not required.

Experience

1-2 years of Manual testing experience, knowledge of automation tools is a plus.
