We are seeking a highly skilled Model-Based Development (MBD) Engineer with a solid understanding of Electric Powertrain, Torque Structure, High Voltage (HV) Systems, and Charging functionalities. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Simulink/Stateflow modeling and Embedded Code Generation, with hands-on experience in electric vehicle (EV) or hybrid powertrain development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate Simulink/Stateflow models for torque control, power distribution, HV system management, and charging.

  • Work on the design and implementation of control algorithms for EV powertrain components including motor control, torque arbitration, battery interface, and charging logic.

  • Ensure model quality compliance using modeling standards (e.g., MAAB, MISRA).

  • Collaborate with system architects, hardware teams, and test teams to ensure functional delivery.
  • Perform MIL/SIL testing 

  • Contribute to the definition of system-level behavior of HV components (inverter, DC-DC, charger, battery pack).

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for reviews and audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering.

Essential skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Model-Based Development using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.

  • Strong knowledge in EV or Hybrid powertrain architecture, including torque structure, high voltage systems, battery management, and charging mechanisms (AC/DC, onboard/offboard).

  • Experience with Embedded Coder, AUTOSAR model generation (optional), and code integration into ECUs.

  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and UDS.

  • Understanding of control system theory and real-time embedded systems.

  • Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262) is a plus.

Desired skills

  • Experience with dSPACE, ETAS, CANape, or CANoe.

  • Exposure to Vehicle Integration and Virtual Validation environments.
