Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automation Test Lead with a strong background in Test Automation using Selenium and Java.
The ideal candidate will support the planning, coordination and delivery of automation testing projects, ensuring high-quality software releases.
You will work closely with QA engineers, developers, and stakeholders to drive test strategy, track progress, and ensure on-time project execution.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities related to automation testing projects.
Collaborate with QA and development teams to define automation scope, priorities, and schedules.
Experience in handling team of 10+ members
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright.
Monitor and report on test progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation of test plans, test cases, and execution results.
Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) efforts for automated testing.
Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of Agile teams.
Ensure timely identification, escalation, and resolution of project risks and bottlenecks.
Assist in resource planning, effort estimation, and task allocation within the QA automation team.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Test Automation expert.
Strong expertise in selenium.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Essential skills
Experience managing or coordinating QA teams in Agile or Scrum environments.
Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms and tools.
Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
