Overview

Murex Environment Manager for Banking project

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a first level support for already deployed Murex products, re-directing and following the issues with the corresponding support teams.
  • Experience in DevOps GIT, stay on top of the release management life cycle including scheduling and coordinating environments used for different developers, and releases across the same project.
  • Manage the different Murex environments assigned to the project, creating them, solving any issue that can happen during the building phase, troubleshooting in case an environment is not working as expected, and fixing any kind of issue (Murex, Java).
  • Configuring the processing scripts, feeders, stored pro.
  • Performing/Monitoring daily/monthly housekeep jobs related to Accounting, Market Data etc.
  • Perform ad hoc operational requests such as file transfer, housekeeping activities, database masking, OS/DB patch updates etc.,
  • Liaise with vendor to run diagnostics and troubleshooting for EOD issues.
  • Monitor and tune performance of overall EOD.
  • Perform sanity checks in Murex UI such as workflows, real time data etc.
  • Work with DBA`s to troubleshoot performance issues with DB that impact the EOD batches Extract Murex reports batches/LRB and share with users.
  • Analyse the Vulnerabilities raised on application and infrastructure and remediate them.
  • Manage Murex Environments on LINUX RHEL.
  • Ability to resolve feeder exceptions, overflow, crashes and to unblock stalled batches.

Essential skills

  • Proficient with murex EOD architecture, key services and end to end process.
  • Good understanding of murex log structure & artefact location.
  • Datamart Dynamic tables/Feeders/batch Configuration, scanner templates, processing script definition.
  • Knowledge of Scheduling tools such as control M.
  • Understanding and debugging bash, ant, Python/Perl scripts on LINUX RHEL.
  • Knowledge of DB fundamentals such as query plan, SQL, indexing.
  • Continuously monitor the environments.
  • Ensuring all team members are adhering to engineering best practices.

Desired skills

  • Monitoring the release process and collecting feedback from the different teams

Making improvements on a regular basis to the release process

Experience

5+ years of experience in Murex environment management
