Overview

Business Analysts for Data Migration

Responsibilities

  1. •             Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges.
  2. •             Elicit, document, and analyse business requirements, processes, and workflows.
  3. •             Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications for technical teams
  4. •             Collaborate with technology teams to design solutions that meet business needs.
  5. •             Propose innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges.
  6. •             Ensure that proposed solutions align with the organization's strategic goals and technological capabilities
  7. •             Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
  8. •             Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  9. •             Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to various audiences
  10. •             Create detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
  11. •             Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  12. •             Define reporting and alerting requirements
  13. •             Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required from time to time.
  14. •             Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  15. •             Flexibility - responsibilities may require occasional evening and weekend work
  16. •             Ensure that delivered solutions meet the specified requirements and are of high quality
  17. •             Validate Data lineage by collaborating with respective technology teams

Qualifications

•             Should have experience in Core Banking domain (Functional knowledge workflow in both Liability and Asset Products, Lending - LOS and LMS systems)

•             Should have experience in preparation of BRD, FSD, LDM etc.,

•             Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

•             Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

•             Proficient in Data modelling

•             Solid experience in writing SQL queries

•             Proficient in database concepts and design (Stored Procedures, functions, tables, constraints, indexing, schemas)

•             Knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, etc.

Essential skills

1.            Understand the current ETL architecture and data integration processes.

3.            Document source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and dependencies.

4.            Perform impact analysis on banking systems such as Core Banking, Risk Management, AML/KYC, and Regulatory Reporting.

5.            Identify business rules and validate them with stakeholders.

6.            Hands on with Database like SQL Server, My SQL, Oracle , PostgreSQL

7.            Assess data quality, performance, and compliance requirements.

8.            Act as a bridge between business teams, data architects, and technical teams.

9.            Create functional specifications, migration strategy documents, and mapping sheets.

10.          Maintain traceability matrix for requirements and test cases.

11.          Document data lineage and ensure compliance with governance standards.

12.          Prepare training materials for business users
