The engineer will work closely with design, manufacturing, quality, testing, and system engineering teams, contributing to electrical circuit design, cable harness optimization, testing, reliability analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives. The role plays a key part in bridging design and manufacturing during NPD/NPI phases.

Responsibilities

  • Perform DFX assessments on electrical designs for manufacturability, testability, reliability, and cost
  • Analyze and optimize electrical circuits and cable/harness designs for BESS applications
  • Support manufacturing test strategy, electrical testing, and validation activities
  • Conduct reliability analysis (thermal, electrical, mechanical) and define mitigations
  • Ensure high-voltage safety compliance and adherence to industry standards
  • Lead cost-reduction and design optimization initiatives
  • Participate in design reviews, DFMEA/PFMEA, root cause analysis, and risk assessments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth NPI transition and production readiness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5–7 years of experience in electrical design for NPD/NPI programs
  • Experience working in manufacturing-linked engineering roles
  • Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Essential skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with electrical circuit design in NPD/NPI environments
  • Practical application of DFX principles (DFM, DFA, DFT, DFR, DFC)
  • Experience with BESS, power electronics, or high-voltage systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and test procedures
  • Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, 8D, 5-Why, root cause analysis
