Automation Test Engineer

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Build reliable test automation pipelines integrating CI/CD systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and overseas partners to understand requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Debug issues, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to improving product quality.
  • Stay updated with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in test automation and quality engineering.
  • Maintain automation frameworks for web and API testing.
  • Required Skills

    • Hands-on experience with at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
    • Strong proficiency in API testing and web application testing.
    • Good understanding of Linux, Bash scripting, and Docker.
    • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
    • Strong willingness to learn new tools, frameworks, and technology stacks.
    • Ability to coordinate and work effectively with overseas counterparts.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

     

    Good-to-Have Skills

    • Hands-on experience designing or managing automation frameworks.
    • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog).
    • Experience with GIT or other version control systems.
    • Knowledge of automation/infrastructure tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
    • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Essential skills
