Design Engineer - Autodesk Inventor
• Engineering and design of industrial rotating equipment such as air compressors, pumps, gears, and allied parts.
• Understand the project requirement from global teams and execute with highest level of quality standard.
• Creation of 3D casting & machining part models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor according to Ingersoll Rand standards, with PLM release in Vault and SAP.
• Perform design calculations to demonstrate the capability of designs.
• Cross-functional and global team collaboration.
BE or BTech in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience in 2D and 3D CAD modeling of large industrial rotating equipment using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault PLM.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the creation of casting, machining, and sheet metal parts.
• Good understanding of DFMA, RCA, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, pipe routing, and tubing.
• Knowledge of gears, bearings, O-rings, and OEM component selection.
• Proactive, self-motivated individual with the ability to multitask and strong communication skills in English.
• Experience in NPD and VAVE projects is an advantage.
• CAD skills in Inventor, and understanding of FEA principles is an advantage.
• 4 to 6 years of overall experience as a Design Engineer.
