Overview

Quality Plant Engineer (QPE):

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define problems, take initiative in containment actions to apply for customer protection (including supplier Issues)
  • Do vehicle issue diagnosis and root cause analysis & track the Corrective actions till validation
  • Ensure that his team carries out the pre-analysis activities on time
  • Do risk assessments and lead corrective action plans
  • Guarantee the product – process maturity of the components of his perimeter management of serial life (windows change management).
  • Propose alternative product solution in case of issues (as shortage) to avoid stopping mass production in the plant
  • Participate in Quality ENG tech clubs.
  • Implementation of good idea and standards (Read Across)
  • Ensure the right application in the plant of the technical requirements and the meta function “métiers” standards of his perimeter
  • Ensure that the skills of his team are at the right level
  • Ensure the management activities of his team (daily management control meeting)
  • Ensure that his team is working in safety
  • Lead quality KPI management to achieve quality objectives, driving improvement/corrective actions and escalation
  • Resolution of systemic/chronic or major quality issues (Top Warranty, Recalls, …)
  • Technical support Yard Holds / Product Related Issues (PRI’s) technical referent inside the PRI.
  • Set-up / On-going Controls for Process / product Standards for Vehicle & System Functional Objectives (i.e., ADAS, BSR, FEA)

 

Key Performance Indicators

Quantitative KPIs including but not limited to:

  • Problem Resolution - Time to fix, Time to close QAN/QIF delay
  • Pre-analysis handling time (parts analysis back from the field) – Palantir-Foundry
  • Deviations to handle Internal Plant Indicators (DRR, DVx, SCA, status/Repair vehicles, roll bench, wheel alignment, ADAS, Warranty KPI’s …)
  • Containment & permanent action plan tracking
  • Issues to escalate
  • Safety issues handling time
  • PPAP KPI (assembling test). Initial Samples verdict delay
  • New issues detected by audit
  • 3MIS Warranty (PPM)
  • Safety KPI “STOP”
  • 5S

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics / Electrical / Automobile / Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

8 to 10 years
