Software Engineer-SDET

We are looking for a highly skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong expertise in Python-based test automation. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and a developer mindset to build scalable and maintainable test solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python
• Write efficient, reusable, and scalable test scripts for UI, API, and backend testing
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Develop and execute API automation using tools like REST Assured (Python equivalents), Requests, or similar
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Analyze test results, log defects, and track them to closure using tools like JIRA
• Improve test coverage and reduce manual effort through automation
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and testing standards
• Work in Agile/Scrum environments and actively contribute to sprint activities

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with automation frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, or Behave
• Hands-on experience in UI automation using Selenium WebDriver (Python)
• Experience in API testing using Python libraries (Requests, HTTPx, etc.)
• Knowledge of test design techniques and QA methodologies
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Understanding of database testing (SQL queries, validations)
• Knowledge of logging, reporting tools (Allure, Extent Reports, etc.)

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience in BDD frameworks like Cucumber/Behave
• Familiarity with microservices architecture

4+ years of experience in automation testing with exposure / certification in cloud / DevOps
