Overview

Summary:

Experienced Business Analyst capable of working in large strategic projects, with no supervision. Requires expert level knowledge in business methods, processes, requirements and standards. Strong communication skills to interact with multiple stakeholders. In depth knowledge in Life Insurance business processes.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  1. Autonomously elicit business requirements with diverse group of stakeholders, business partners and users across multiple locations and departments.
  2. Drive business stakeholders through strategic thinking, advise on viable roadmaps without compromising on long term business goals. Devise and recommend solution options for system design and enhancements.
  3. Document complex business logic, rules and requirements into simple, intuitive format and present the findings in a concise manner. Analyze current state of application and create wireframes, process model and business rules for target state.
  4. Work closely with Product Owner to create and maintain roadmaps, epics, features, user stories and other documentation.
  5. Subject Matter expert who work closely with the design team to ensure final UI is in adherence with documented business requirements.
  6. Identifies risks and issues, participates in change control processes. Leads root cause analysis, change control, scope management and test planning discussions.
  7. Work with different departments including compliance to gain inputs and approvals as required. Lead agile transformation and encourage teams to adapt agile values.
  8. Liaison between business and IT team to ensure projects meet outlined objectives and resolve system issues.
  9. Manages complex teams with assertiveness and not authority. Mentor lesser experienced BAs. Communicate effectively with all levels of organization and tailor the message according to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, skills & experience:

  1. Business Analysis, Life Insurance domain knowledge, Agile methodologies
  2. Working experience of 8 to 10 years with direct client interaction.
  3. Willingness to work in US shift. (Mar to Oct: 3 PM to 12 AM, Nov to Feb – 4 PM to 1 AM)
  4. Software development methods like Kanban, Waterfall, Agile etc.
  5. Business process modeling including swimlanes (BPMN2.0)
  6. Use case documentation, process documentation methods and formats
  7. Preferred: CCBA, CBAP, CSPO, SAFEAgilist, PEGA business architect,
