Responsibilities

  • Role Summary: Seeking a skilled developer to build, scale, and maintain custom VS Code extensions and automation tools that integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will have strong SDLC knowledge/Avionics SW Development skills and Automation skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, maintain, and scale custom VS Code extensions used by engineering teams.
    • Automate routine SDLC tasks and data parsing using Python.
    • Integrate LLM capabilities into development tools via REST APIs via different web server applications.
    • Iteratively design, test, and fine-tune AI prompts to ensure deterministic, reliable outputs (e.g., achieving strict TRUE/FAIL evaluation criteria).
    • Ensure tool behaviors align with strict aerospace standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Additional course or certification in Business Analysis

Essential skills

  • Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have):

    • Strong, hands-on experience using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js, with specific expertise in the VS Code Extension API.
    • Proven experience automating software development processes and building data pipelines using Python (or similar languages) and relevant packages along with VS Code Extension Development / REST APIs
    • Demonstrated ability to engineer, test, and refine prompts for LLMs to achieve consistent, highly accurate, and reliable results.
    • Understanding of DO-178C objectives, specifically concerning Development SDLC life cycle (Preferred to have familiarity with nWoW development/process)
