Overview

We are looking for an experienced Design Lead – NVH Engineer to support the design and development of automotive interior insulation components. The role involves product design, CAD modeling, feasibility studies, supplier coordination, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, cost, and performance targets are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automotive interior insulation components and related NVH solutions.
  • Create and modify 3D models and engineering data using CAD tools.
  • Perform manufacturing and assembly feasibility studies.
  • Conduct benchmarking and support design optimization activities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and support component fitment, validation, and vehicle build activities.
  • Participate in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Support product development from concept through production.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

Essential skills

  • 6–8 years of experience in automotive product design and development.
  • Experience in NVH/insulation components such as dash insulators, hood insulators, fender blockers, silencers, or similar parts.
  • Strong understanding of component and system-level design.
  • Proficiency in UG NX, CATIA V5/V6, and PLM/Teamcenter tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly feasibility.
  • Experience working with OEMs and/or Tier-1 suppliers.
  • Good communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in supplier coordination and product development activities.

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as thermoforming, blow molding, compression molding, and PU molding.
  • Exposure to NVH testing and validation activities.
  • Experience in value engineering and process improvement initiatives.
