Design Lead – Floor Console

Seeking an experienced Design Lead with expertise in automotive interior trim components, particularly Floor Console systems. The role involves design, development, validation, supplier coordination, and release of floor console components while ensuring quality, cost, timing, and performance targets are achieved.

• Lead the design and development of Floor Console and related interior cockpit components.
• Create and manage 3D CAD models, engineering releases, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including vehicle engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, and validation teams.
• Support DFMEA, DVP&R, design validation, and issue resolution activities.
• Conduct manufacturing feasibility, assembly studies, benchmarking, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Maintain BOMs and support engineering change management throughout the product development cycle.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Automotive/Mechanical/Production Engg.

• 6–8 years of experience in automotive interior trim or cockpit component design and development.
• Strong experience with Floor Console, Instrument Panel, or related interior systems.
• Proficiency in NX or CATIA for 3D modeling and product design.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, BOM management, and engineering release processes.
• Understanding of plastic molding, welding, sheet metal manufacturing, and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with automotive validation, durability, NVH, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Good communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
