Overview

Senior Workflow Engineer: Software Engineer with over 5+ years of experience specializing in the design, development, and deployment of Data Governance and Data Intelligence solutions. 

Expertise spans the end-to-end implementation of data catalogs, workflow automation, operating model design, and Data Quality (DQ) integration across large global organizations. Adept at managing the entire lifecycle from requirements gathering through production deployment, mentoring team members, and driving technical discussions to align data governance frameworks with strategic business goals.


 

 

Responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture & Design: Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business analysts to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical implementations within the data governance framework.
  • Workflow Automation & Orchestration: Design, develop, and customize advanced governance workflows (using BPMN 2.0, Groovy, and Java) to automate manual data stewardship tasks, manage asset lifecycles, and enforce corporate data policies.
  • Platform Customization: Configure operating models, asset structures, business glossaries, reference data, and metadata relationships within the Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud (DIC).
  • Data Quality Integration: Design and implement solutions integrating core data intelligence catalogs with Data Quality (DQ) platforms to ensure high-fidelity data asset monitoring and reporting.
  • Operating Model Implementation: Help design and execute operating models (such as Federated Operating Models) that support decentralized governance while upholding enterprise data standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Conduct technical walkthroughs, requirement workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions for quality assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) teams.
  • Leadership & Delivery: Own solutions from initial discovery through production deployment, provide implementation guidance adhering to best practices, and mentor junior developers and business analysts.

 

Qualifications

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Workflow Development: Collibra Workflow Designer, BPMN 2.0, Eclipse IDE
  • Data Governance Platforms: Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud (DIC), Collibra Data Quality (DQ / CDQ)
  • Programming & Scripting Languages: Java, Groovy, JavaScript
  • Databases: SQL, Database Management Systems (DBMS)
  • Project Tracking Tools: JIRA, Azure DevOps
