Industrial Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Functions to develop:

 

• Develop 3D models of manufacturing resources, workstations, jigs, fixtures, tools, equipment, and factory infrastructure.
• Import, integrate, and position Product, Process, and Resource (PPR) data within the 3DX environment.
• Model production lines, assembly stations, logistics zones, and factory layouts in accordance with industrial standards.
• Support digital manufacturing activities by creating and validating manufacturing scenarios.
• Perform clash detection, clearance analysis, and spatial validation of industrial layouts.
• Ensure accurate positioning of manufacturing resources based on engineering and process requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Architects, Design Engineering, Logistics, and Production teams to capture industrial requirements.
• Update 3D models based on engineering changes, process modifications, and manufacturing feedback.
• Manage revisions and maintain configuration control of industrial models within PLM.
• Support factory readiness, industrialization, and production planning activities.
• Generate visualizations, technical reports, and documentation for design reviews.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with Airbus industrial modelling standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of digital manufacturing methodologies and modelling best practices.
• Support export of 3D data for downstream applications such as Virtual Reality, simulation, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

Any Graduation / Diploma in Engineering / Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred.

Essential skills

 

• Strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing concepts.
• Experience in 3D industrial modelling and digital factory design.
• Understanding of Product, Process & Resource (PPR) structure.
• Knowledge of manufacturing layouts and assembly line design.
• Experience with industrial equipment modelling.
• Understanding of assembly processes and manufacturing workflows.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and CAD data interpretation.
• Familiarity with configuration management and revision control.
• Understanding manufacturing resource planning.
• Knowledge of industrial plant layout principles.

Software Skills :

 

• CATIA V5 / CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE
• ENOVIA / 3DEXPERIENCE PLM
• DELMIA
• Power BI
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Office)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in industrialization or digital manufacturing projects.
  • Knowledge of industrial modelling standards and methodologies.
  • Experience with factory simulation and manufacturing validation.
  • Experience with Digital Mock-Up (DMU) validation.

Experience

 

  • Lead / Senior Manufacturing Engineer: 6–10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the aerospace or aerostructure industry/3DEXPERIENCE/digital manufacturing background is an added advantage.
