Overview

Automation Test Engineer for Banking project

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
  • Design and enhance automation frameworks for web application testing.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Automate API testing using Playwright, Postman, or similar tools.
  • Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Prepare and maintain test cases, test plans, and automation documentation.

Essential skills

  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience in UI automation and cross-browser testing.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Playwright.
